“Slightly altered but only improved the garden sofa is relaunched. The legs, which previously stuck straight into the ground, now feature a discreet bend that transitions into a cross-section, allowing the sofa to stand firmly on all surfaces.
The degree work I did at Beckmans School of Design was about integrating nature into the form and function of objects. For this project I had an idea about making garden furniture that truly related to its context. Plants can grow onto this trellis-like bench and in time might completely cover it. That’s culture slowly blending with nature.
