"Mille Notti makes beautiful bed linen. Since this is their first furniture project, I spent a lot of time thinking about how to translate Mille Notti’s textile essence into wooden form — capturing the softness and soul of fabric through material, superior craftsmanship, and shape.

A bedside table sits next to a very large volume. How do you relate to that, being much smaller, yet still making an impact? I decided to design them as strong characters, with lives of their own.

Luca draws inspiration from traditional Swedish folk furniture, particularly old sewing cupboards. Although it has a square silhouette, all edges are generously rounded, giving it a soft and approachable character — something I associate with the softness of textiles."
